How to Add Polygon Network to MetaMask
Adding the Polygon network to MetaMask takes less than two minutes. Once connected, you can send POL tokens, interact with dApps, and enjoy near-instant transactions at a fraction of Ethereum gas costs.
Method 1: Add via ChainList (Recommended)
- Go to chainlist.org and search for "Polygon Mainnet".
- Click "Connect Wallet" to link MetaMask.
- Click "Add to MetaMask" next to Polygon Mainnet (Chain ID 137).
- Click "Approve" in the MetaMask pop-up.
- Click "Switch Network" to activate Polygon.
Method 2: Add Manually in MetaMask
- Open MetaMask and click the network dropdown at the top.
- Select "Add Network" → "Add a network manually".
- Fill in the following fields:

After adding the network, confirm the Chain ID shows 137 in MetaMask settings. Visit polygonscan.com and search your address to verify your Polygon network address is active and ready for transactions.
