PolygonScan (polygonscan.com) is the official blockchain explorer for the Polygon PoS network. It allows anyone to look up any Polygon network address, view transaction history, check token balances, and verify smart contracts – all without connecting a wallet.

How to Look Up a Polygon Network Address

1. Go to polygonscan.com.
2. Paste the Polygon wallet address (0x format) in the search bar.
3. Press Enter to view all on-chain activity for that address.

What You Can See on PolygonScan

• POL Balance – native token holdings at the address.
• ERC-20 Token List – all tokens held by the address.
• Transaction History – every inbound and outbound transfer.
• Internal Transactions – contract-triggered transfers.
• NFTs (ERC-721/1155) – digital collectibles owned by the address.

POL Native Token Contract

The native POL token on Polygon PoS has a special contract address: 0x0000000000000000000000000000000000001010. This is the on-chain representation used for gas fees and staking. POL replaced MATIC as the network's native token following the network upgrade.

Polygon PoS vs zkEVM

PolygonScan covers the Polygon PoS mainnet (Chain ID 137). For Polygon zkEVM activity, use the dedicated zkEVM explorer. Both use the same 0x address format, but balances and transactions are separate across networks.
